An original mixed media painting on paper. As part of a 15 piece series created in June 2020.
This landscape painting was created in 2020 during “quarantine”. It is part of a series of 15 ink paintings I created in June over 15 days. Each day I spent about 30 minutes gesturally painting a single landscape, the 13th-15th days I was out in the field creating in nature. The 15th day was my 34th birthday. While all the pieces showcase the same landscape, the raw gestures change with each day they were created.
This series was used as part of an outdoor studio gallery exhibit in June of 2020. The paper survived the elements, but there is wear.
This series is the first to be featured in my new zine project, “Visual Philosophy” (available in the shop!)
